The Last Song

The rumors of war faded into reality and explosions ripped through Warsaw. Bruised and battered, Maria and her family escaped the destruction and headed for the city of Krakow. Within the city, however, the white Star of David was soon emblazoned upon her people, followed by persecution. With the life of her family swinging in the balance, Maria used her gift of song to appease her enemy. The voice she carried was unmatched, a glittering diamond held within the tight grasp of the Nazis.

In the midst of these dark days, forbidden love blossomed, a secret known only by a few. But how long can secrets remain hidden? The eyes and ears of the Nazis were everywhere.

Stolen

The time had come. For years Emma and Rolland had tried to conceive despite being told they never would. It was impossible. The doctors had said so. Then, on that summer day of 1921 in the French countryside, Emma prepared to give birth to that impossibility.

But what if something went wrong, and this miracle baby died during birth? Could grief drive a man to steal a child from another and claim it as his own? Could he then hide this dark secret from all, taking it to the grave?

The South Road

When the Russians invaded an unprotected German town on the eastern front, panic and mayhem set in. Four-year-old Monika and her mother, Edith, rushed through the streets of town along with hundreds of others, desperate to escape death at the hands of their adversary and head westward. They would place their hopes in the rumors that the Allied forces of the West would be more merciful.

Six years later, powerful dreams propelled Monika southward to seek and find her father, a man she had never met. A man presumed dead, killed by the Allies during the battle of France. The trek, however, was full of unknowns, challenges, and perils, pushing her beyond her limits.

Forsaken

The German Army is on the move and pouring into France, cutting off the British Expeditionary Forces from their supply chain. British corporal, Thomas Andrews, along with thousands of his comrades are forced to Dunkirk to evacuate and avoid being slaughtered.

After escaping the German death trap, Thomas returns home in London to Liza, his newlywed, where he recuperates from his battle wounds. But something’s not right, something he can’t explain. Dunkirk had changed him. Now a dark voice from within grows louder, seeking to rise to the surface and come into fruition.

One day, it does.

Disowned

Lightning crackled and lit up the dark night, the booming thunder followed, bearing down upon Tyler on that warm summer night of 1931. No matter how fast the little boy ran, there was nowhere to hide, no place to go. His grieving father, drunk and full of rage, had disowned him, casting him out into the darkness to fend for himself.

A large oak tree revealed itself as lightning lit up the sky. It was there that young Tyler would attempt to hide from the monster in the sky and the pain that followed him like a shadow. It was there, in the morning light, that he would meet Naomi, a woman considered too old to raise a young child but with a heart that would allow her to do no less.

In the arms of Naomi’s nurturing love, Tyler would start a life anew, one which had been set against him from the very beginning, seeking to destroy him from the moment of birth. Now his whole life lay before him, one instilled by the love of a young woman, the pain of a great war, and the road toward forgiveness.

Westward Trail to Freedom

There was no justice. Vladimir Cermak experienced it firsthand in Czechoslovakia. The government had thrown him in prison and then threw away the key. Then one morning in December 1955, providence shined down, and he escaped the clutches of his adversaries. Upon returning home, Vladimir discovered that his family had been forced to flee their homeland. He went out in search of them but was met with only dead ends. When all hope seemed lost, his daughter, Anna, appeared to him in dreams directing his steps. Vladimir then set out on a dangerous trail westward to find them.

Darkness of Days

The long-anticipated trip to Paris was suddenly canceled. Now reports of war with Germany thundered within Alicia’s ears. But that couldn’t be true. Belgium was neutral, choosing not to join France and Britain in the war against the Nazi regime.

As the battle lines move closer, Alicia and her family escape westward, praying the Allies would be able to push the Germans out of their beloved homeland. For if the rumors of what the Nazis were doing to her Jewish brothers and sisters in Europe were true, losing the war could be a death sentence.
